The Dave

The Dave occupied a special place in the world of 80s underground music. Their style of Harry Partch meets the Raincoats pop and blunder was, despite having a kinship with some other bands working at the same time, truly their own thing. Emanating a charm that can only come naturally, their seemingly simple songs always belied an unexpected depth of songwriting skills, not to mention some seriously catchy sing-song lyrics. Imagine a band of those kids in elementary school who refused to play what the teacher taught in music class, but instead decided to write their own strange and fun songs in class while everyone else was playing the same old boring crap, that was The Dave! Cheers to Lynx Rufus Recordings for bringing their wonderful music back into
the world after all these years.
